Before teaching, it is imperative for effective instructors to examine their own motives and convictions on the topic they are teaching. Students intuitively detect counterfeits in the classroom. So before presenting this lesson, you may wish to prayerfully consider the following questions:
Am I sharing the uniqueness of the divine calling of the remnant without being pretentious?
Do I emphasize God’s faithfulness and His grace as manifested to His remnant throughout history?
Do students see in me the tenacious loyalty to God that marks the remnant?
Am I tuned in to the fears and concerns some students may feel with regard to this topic?
