Environment and Learning
Research shows that the physical environment of a room impacts learning. In light of the serious nature of this lesson, it might serve you well to give extra forethought into the learning environment you will use to share the sobering story of Calvary. Perhaps you'll want to set up a table in the shape of a cross and use candlelighting. Maybe you can have class in the chapel of a local hospital or funeral home. By changing the setting you can immediately signal the students that this lesson will be different.
